Martial Arts of Central Asia – Combating Inbuan, Aki Kiti, Silambam
Inbuan Wrestling
This style of wrestling, from Mizoram, originated in the village of Dungtland 1750. It is a sport with strict rules that prohibit kicking action, bending the knees, or leave the control area against a surface of 15 to 16 (04/05 to 04/09 m) diameter circle. The rules state that inbuan struggle to achieve a decisive victory fighters must lift their opponent from the ground for three rounds (lasting 30 seconds and one minute) has elapsed. Belts worn by the players, who must remain tight at all times, are often used as instruments of leverage to help effect a lift quickly and decisively.
Aki Kiti
This is an art, and kicked the sport that is practiced in tribal ceremonies in Nagaland. Although most Nagas are Christians, they were once the practice of headhunting.
Aki kiti only in the feet are allowed to be used and they are both striking and blocking tools for the fighters. The goal of the contest is to kill an opponent in the lead either kneeling or outside the circular ring region attributed to competition. There is no training program for existing art, but all the exercises that help veterans with strength, endurance and flexibility, as well as target practice, are part of the system of combat aircraft for teachers.
Score settling
Rather that having forms or models similar to "kata" in Japanese martial arts, art is only for sports tournaments that can be used in order to redress injustice, restoring the honor or to settle scores between tribes and the tribes without the need to resort to extreme violence.
The art is unique in how the combatants on foot, usually before kicking or kicking before jumping are done on the sides, the waist or chest of the opponent. Although the padding is not worn, the fights are usually contact light, although collisions are frequent foot injuries are rare.
Silambam
Silambam is a stick fighting art based cons on bamboo staff struggle against arts allegedly used by the natives of the area while defending himself against animals and bandits. The Staff Senior solid in use today is about 51 / 2 ft (1.67 m) long, has a diameter of about 2 inches (5 cm) and weighs anything between 1-2 lb. (0.5 to 1 kg). Once mastered, the techniques can also be transferred to the use of live blades and sometimes the wire whip, double stag horn, sword, and the club are also used in this art form.
Ancient history
Well that the claims of art with a history of 5000 years are difficult to verify (and there is no known literature of the period of final support the theory), the control staff against India is common, and most ancient martial arts of India are the personal struggle against.
However, we can reasonably assume that the art looks good as now codified in the older arts stick fighting in the region with a history of two to three thousand years.
The ultimate goal of modern art is that the practitioner must be able to defend himself with a stick against several opponents, brandishing various weapons. The training component of the empty hand technique is known as varisant kuthu Silambam. Training which includes a number of routines set punching sequences that complement the standard weapons training regime.
