Fight Shorts

MMA as an instructor I get a lot of questions about mixed martial arts gear and what is needed for training. MMA Gear is important because it protects you and keep you against injury what can you back for months. In addition, it also helps protect your training partner.
Here is a list of MMA gear I need to train MMA in my dojo:
16 oz boxing gloves required for the bag and the work of MIT and sparring. Many pros have 2 pairs of gloves. One is weighted to the bag and put the work and the other is a pair of quality used for sparring.
MMA Gloves – necessary for MMA sparring. These range from boxing gloves in that they have independent movement of the fingers which allows a better face.
Mouthpiece – prevent broken teeth and concussions. The beak is a typical boil and bite or you can get a custom mouthguard from your dentist.
Wear a helmet – reduces concussions and protects the facial bruises and cuts.
Hand Wraps – Protects hands from striking heavy. They are 120 inches or 180 centimeters.
protection of the groin – it's obvious.
shin guards – shin banging is probably the worst pain you'll experience
Rash guard – absorbs sweat and prevents staph
Shorts fight – very tough and resilient
Duffel Bag – used to store and carry your equipment
Once you understand the craft MMA you need the next problem is knowing where to find it. There are very few retail stores that sell MMA Gear. If your dojo does not carry the equipment necessary, then another place to look is online.
