Kick Target

Rising obesity rates show that our youth are increasingly susceptible to obesity related illnesses such as hypertension: diabetes, stroke, heart disease, not lung, kidney disease and certain cancers.
It is absolutely imperative we stop this trend and help our teens are overweight to become healthier. Small changes made over time will have a significant impact on weight and energy levels. Follow some or all of the tips below to make small changes that will lead to great results.
1) Get a pedometer and record how many steps you take in a day. Wear every day for a week to determine what your daily account is the stage. Pedometers are small and discreet and can be worn under clothing. Once you have your base the number of steps to set goals to try to increase it by small amounts each week. For example, a 200 or 300 steps per day extra. Consider rewards for achieving your goals, ie for each day that you meet your target 50p in a pot to put a new dress or a CD. The ultimate goal is to achieve a healthy 10,000 steps per day.
2) Cut out soft drinks, chocolate and sweets. Many people drink soft drinks throughout the day strengthening their consumption of sugar at incredibly high levels. Exchange of these for less sweet drinks such as squash or getting better, the water will make a huge difference to your calorie intake. In addition, there are many alternatives to chocolate and chips available today. Clearly the best options are fruit and nuts if it is a step to far, so things like cereal bars or low-salt rice crackers are a good option.
3) Take packed lunches to school, college or work. Buying Lunch at the last minute usually means that you go options for more calories. If you make your lunch and take it with you to ensure that you are not tempted by the worst food available, but thought to come and we hope to choose a better option. You're not limited to sandwiches, wraps try, soup and roll, pasta salad or health homemade pies.
4) Get a dog. Ok, it might be a bit extreme and you must ensure that your house is suitable, but a dog must be walked every day, rain or shine, so it might give you the extra motivation you need to get out and move! Combine it with the pedometer and you will see the changes quickly. You'll also have a great friend who will be happy to move with you as often as possible for years to come.
5) Get a computer game active. If you can not leave the computer games that have kept you sedentary for the past few years, then get one news that is designed to give you a little more active. The Nintendo Wii has a lot of games that have been designed for you off the couch and move to verify and invite your friends home. You forget that you burn calories because you'll be so much fun.
Being more active does not mean you should join a football team or run 10 miles a day. Any activity that gets you moving and a little out of breath will do you good and if you can handle more than half an hour a day, then you begin to see benefits. On top of that making small changes to your diet and the benefits will start up and you start to feel good, sleep better and have more energy.
