kung fu moves

kung fu moves

Many Kung Fu students have knee problems later in life. This is not because the Kung Fu is poorly designed or that Kung Fu should not be trained. Because many students go Kung Fu around too much, putting too much emphasis on their knees, and do not run footwork. Using flowing movements allows a Kung Fu student to move quickly, but to reduce the emphasis placed on their knees.

Training in martial arts and self defense is important because it allows someone to defend itself against an aggressor. Martial arts are a matter of self-preservation and self-protection. But to be able to defend self in stressful real life situation of defense you have to train for several hours. Simply knowing the movements do not contribute to a real self-defense situation because you are very nervous and very excited. It is very easy to forget the things you've learned in such situations. Therefore, students train in martial arts for so many hours and repeat each movement and the movement so many times. The aim is that the motion to commit to muscle memory so that the student may make movements without thinking about them.

The downside of all this training is that it can take a toll on a body. This is particularly true if the movements are performed incorrectly or performed without adequate preparation. Kung Fu puts much emphasis on stretching for a reason. While stretching may not be as fun or interesting as lifting weights or practicing typing is an important element of training. Many Students Kung Fu does not stretch enough and it takes a toll on their bodies when they train movements on several occasions for hours.

Kung Fu also places great emphasis on footwork. Fast Footwork is very important for the performance figures and defend against attacks. But Kung Fu is not jumping around or trying to show. Kung Fu requires flowing footwork that allows for speed and change direction so without putting too emphasis on the knees. Your body should be given to each step and react like a spring, not a board stuff. This does not just help you protect your knees during training hours, but actually helps you move quickly and change direction earlier.

It is possible to learn Kung Fu for yourself, but getting a teacher can be an excellent way to ensure that you do the movements correctly and that you will end not hurt your joints long term. Sometimes it takes another pair of eyes trained to observe what you do and say if you do the correct movements or no. It is a shame when a martial arts student who seeks to defend their bodies and health, ended up damaging their bodies by training in self-defense incorrectly.
