The power to destroy the three types of destructive energy used in martial arts
If there is a word that can sum up that martial arts teach that is power. The creation and use of energy or energy (Chi in Chinese or Ki in Japan) is the focus of numerous martial arts. Breathing techniques, weight training, conditioning exercises, drills, forms, nutrition, and meditation are all ways to generate and direct energy. All teachers know that there are two forms of this energy, yin and yang, the creative and destructive.
The martial arts are rightly focused on the production of creative energy through fitness, self-discipline and honor. However, a martial artist must learn to master the dark side of the force, the creation and the application of destructive energy. The next section describes three types of destructive energy, how they work, and where and how apply them in combat.
Penetrating power
All technical deletion to generate one of three types of destructive energy: Penetrating, grinding and transfer.
Penetrating strikes the energy generated by the speed focus on a small area that is oriented in the body so that the skin and muscles are forced to within and sometimes torn by the impact of the blow.
Anatomical weapons that use energy penetration are the fingertips and the second joint strikes, punches slot chops, knife hand, and side-kicks. Examples of weapons that use energy are penetrating the spear, sword and knife.
Penetrating strikes are best used against targets tissue soft, like clusters of nerve, and internal organs. For example, if you were to use a strike Snake hand (the hand held flat with the fingers that the striking surface) against the opponent's chest, he has no chance to penetrate the sternum and a great chance to break the fingers. However, if is delivered to the throat, he can tear the larynx or blistering of the carotid artery, both fatal injuries.
To use energy penetrating forces you to concentrate in the target. For example, a punch to the solar plexus should be carried through the opponent's body, as if the attempt to strike the spine rather than the stomach. This allows neutralize the unconscious tendency to slow down to strike the target approach. A simple way to train and test your strikes penetration is take an empty box, like the type of your TV or microwave entered then put on a table and make sure there is a clear zone around it. Now, strike box with a hand Snake, Leopard paw or Phoenix Eye strike. If you can punch clean little holes in the cardboard box without flying off the table, you have mastered this method.
Crash Energy
uses energy crushing weight of the weapon focus energy on a large surface rupture of the nerves and blood vessels and broken bones. Anatomical weapons that use crushing energy include the head butt, elbow and knee blows, most punches and kicks. Weapons that use energy milling include mace, war hammer, clubs and baseball bats.
energy strikes crushing are best directed at areas less massive than the weapon used. For example, a punch to the root of the nose can easily crush and break the septal cartilage causing extreme pain and bleeding, but a blow on the forehead will probably break the punch hand instead.
To apply for a crash energy, you must enter as the mass of the body in the strike as possible. To bring the body mass in technique requires that the center of gravity shifting along the impact. For example, in the execution of a Hammer Fist strike to collarbone the opponent, you must reduce your center of gravity by bending the knees at impact. This adds body mass than the fist. Forward punching, the legs are used to power your center of gravity behind the front fist as if the arms where a ram and the body of the car. The best way to test and train your power is out grinding techniques.
Energy Transfer
A strike that uses the transfer of energy causes a concussion in creating a pressure wave that transfers energy directly into the body without penetrating the skin and muscles. This principle can be seen in action on the pool table. Using some "English" (backspin), index ball striking a billiard ball still comes to a complete stop while the billiard ball rolling with the momentum of the ball was. The cue ball has transferred all his energy into the kinetic billiard ball. strikes energy transfer work the same way, removing the weapon stops on the surface of the opponent's body, but the energy was transferred into the body in the form of a pressure wave.
Anatomical weapons that employ the transfer of energy are some shots, palm strikes and roundhouse kick. Because of the complexity of this technique, few old weapons it employed. To some extent, whips and scourges such as the nunchaku that use energy transfer. A blow whip, Although it uses the reverse movement to generate a wave of energy, focusing on the wave itself the whip to speed up so that the point becomes a sharp weapon.
A legendary example of a strike strike the transfer is "hearts of palm. The heart of palm is executed using the heel of the palm and is targeted towards the center of the chest. The energy is transferred through the chest wall and the pacemaker of the heart is located just behind the breastbone. The pacemaker is a polarized magnetic patch of tissue that regulates the heartbeat. As an iron nail that has been given a magnetic charge (by rubbing with a magnet), a sudden shock like dropping the nail will cause the nail to lose office. Similarly, the pacemaker may lose its magnetic charge through a sudden shock. This can cause a contraction of heart muscle (ventricular fribulation) and possibly cardiac arrest if not treated immediately. On the surface, there is no sign of injury since the energy was transferred through the surface to cause damage internally.
To apply a strike the transfer, you must incorporate a reverse motion of the technique by drawing back on strike just before impact. This can be compared to a whip, to "crack the whip you must withdraw just before the end of the swing. This tension is back more done using the size and is called reeling silk in the Chinese style. For example, to add energy shock reverse punch, your hips must first go ahead throw your body weight in the punch, but just before impact, the hips quarterback so that the kinetic energy behind the punch moves into the target but the fist does not.
To train and test strikes concussion, put in place a candle on a table, clear the area, and be prepared to have hot wax splattered across the room. Objective fist or hand strike directly at the flame, but do you stop short about an inch from the flame. Done correctly, the flame will be extinguished with a slight popping sound. Done properly, and you usually get in a mess clean.
Conclusion
These three destructive forces have been used in war since the first time. The spear, club and the scourge are probably the first weapons devised that use these three forces. Even modern warfare uses these principles secular. For example, to disable armored vehicles army developed three weapons. SBOT cycle, which is a high hard shot made from depleted uranium designed to penetrate the armor of the vehicle. Heat (High Explosive Anti Tank) round uses explosives to crush a vehicle, and the old bazooka or Panzerfaust uses the principle of transfer to blast off a crust of Love veneer sending cores inside the metal ricocheted inside the vehicle.
The martial arts teach not only how to develop strength and power, but also the knowledge and skills necessary to provide three types of destructive energy to their appropriate targets. A side-kick to the solar plexus (Penetrating), a hammer-fist to the brachial plexus (grinding), or a palm strike to the head (concussion), often instantly knock an attacker unconscious while causing him or her the least injury. In this way, even the dark side of the force may be used for good, to protect you and your family, and cause the least harm in return.
