Martial Arts Shoes?

I have flat feet and ankle pronation problems that tend to cause problems with my knees. To prevent another knee injury, my teacher suggested I get a martial arts shoe and put an arch support in it. Has anyone used either the Century shoe or new Adidas shoe? Would they work well with arch supports? I do Tae Kwon Do.

I have adidas karate shoes and bushido karate shoes. Both are really good, but I love the adidas ones. You can adjust the width on them because they are velcrow and have relativley good elasticity, which should work well with the arch supports that you need. I’m a black belt in karate, and I also took tae kwon do for 4 years. I highly reccomend the adidas karate shoes! Good luck!

Oh by the way… DO NOT GET VANS OR DC’s for the martial arts!!! Those will fly off your foot if you do any kind of snapping kick and they’re too big and bulky to get the right snap on your kicks. Plus if you kick someone and your wearing skater shoes you could really hurt them!
